Tattoo Convention 2009

Liverpool Tattoo Convention 2012

Now in its fifth year what is widely perceived as the most prestigious and innovative Tattoo Show in the UK is back and it's bigger and better than ever. How are you going to do that you may well ask?? Firstly we have new dates and the show has been expanded into a 3 day event to provide added value to the working artists. Throw into the mix more artists, more traders, more entertainment than you can shake a stick at together with plenty of other surprises in store this is going to be a memorable soirée befitting to this amazing craft we are all also so passionate about.

Ticket prices will be frozen and we will retain the old faithful’s such as the Tattoo Competitions and the Tattoo Duels together with the return of the dreaded gunge, but it wouldn't be Liverpool if we didn't add a few tweaks and twists along the way... for a snippet of things to come keep checking out our news feed...

The show will once again occupy its now spiritual home the Adelphi Hotel where you have access to numerous bars, restaurants, gym, pool, an onsite pub and a club all with very reasonable prices. £1.50 a pint brought much cheer last year and this fantastic offer will be on again. With so much going on we're sure you won't want to leave the building and for this very reason we have negotiated discounted room rates for convention goers (find out more on the accommodation page). Should you wish to stay elsewhere however please pay a visit to

http://www.tattooaccomodation.com/ where you can check availability, ratings and prices across all the major hotel sites in one fell swoop.

The show is run in peak season and the venue is splendid with chandeliers, marble and gilt porticoes (check it out in the galleries) it's also steeped in history with its own resident ghosts allegedly!! It's not off the beaten track like some shows and we're slap bang in the heart of one of the UK's most vibrant cities accordingly there’s plenty to see and do, keep checking back for tours and attractions that we've managed to negotiate. Lime St Rail Station is a stone's throw away together with major motorways and airports within easy commute.

Blocking out a major cities main hotel is not cheap and is a big risk to an independent tattoo studio but hey you people are worth it!! We'd like to take the opportunity to thank all artists, traders, performers and collectors who have supported the show in an overwhelming way during the last 4 years and hope you'll continue with us on this journey to showcase the art of tattooing well into the future.

This brings us on to the amazing Starboards project masterminded by Chris Jones and showcased at the Liverpool Show on May the 4th(be with you) and (Revenge of the Sith)5th May 2012. 70+ amazing painted skateboards by top artists will be auctioned for charity. This is an amazing opportunity to walk away with a unique piece of art in the knowledge that you've made a contribution to a charity that is going to make a difference to the lives of many. For more information on Chris and the Starboards project please have a look at

http://www.starboards.org/.

Also out of this world is the galaxies only independent award ceremony where collectors and artists get to decided who is a Jedi Master in their particular fields, full details can be found on the UK TATTOO INDUSTRY AWARDS page. Nominations are open now (as a Jedi Mind trick we've put a nomination button just over on the website), the final nominees will be announced on the 4th of March 2012 and the awards will culminate with a gala awards ceremony on the 4th May 2012. Padwans and Knights must adopt suitable attire for the evening's entertainment and gastric delights.

In the words of Yoda.... "Try not. Do or do not, there is no try....” hopefully we'll do the master proud.

We hope you are as excited about the event as we are and look forward to seeing you at the show... until then may the force be with you.
